INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF BOILERMAKERS

The Challenge

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers needed a way to keep their locals connected with their membership. In-person meetings and communications were no longer possible, and the organization needed a secure, reliable way to broadcast to members and maintain engagement across multiple locals – fast.

At the same time, individual locals needed modern mobile applications to serve their members directly – tools for communication, member portal access, and local-specific content that could be customized to each local’s needs and initiatives.

What LegacyX Delivered

LegacyX built and deployed dedicated mobile applications for Boilermaker locals across Canada, each customized with local-specific branding, content, and member portal features. The platform was designed so each local could expand functionality independently – adding pages and features relevant to their membership without requiring a rebuild.

LegacyX also facilitated live video broadcast support for multiple locals and the Canadian office of the International, enabling secure, real-time streaming to membership during the pandemic. These broadcasts kept members informed and connected during a period when traditional union communication channels were unavailable.
