Larry AI Knowledge Platform
A modular, end-to-end system for knowledge capture, intelligent agent generation, and software development lifecycle integration.
Understanding how AI knowledge management works starts with the architecture. Larry is not a single model or a simple chatbot wrapper. It is a platform built from modular subsystems that work together to ingest, update and create knowledge, generate trustworthy responses, deploy intelligent agents, and keep your software development lifecycle aligned. Here is how the pieces fit together.
Knowledge Ingestion
Larry accepts knowledge from wherever it already lives. It does not require you to centralize or reformat your data before getting started:
- Ingests structured and unstructured text, media (images, video, audio), PDFs with metadata, database schemas, code repositories, and application lifecycle artifacts
- Preserves contextual links between content and metadata so answers reflect real relationships and dependencies
- Converts all ingested content into vector embeddings for semantic indexing and retrieval
Knowledge Storage and Linking
Ingested knowledge is stored in a vector database designed for semantic search and similarity retrieval. But Larry goes beyond simple search by maintaining contextual links across all knowledge artifacts.
- Maintains a vector database for semantic search, so users can ask questions in natural language and get relevant results
- Contextually links documents, media, metadata, code references, and backlog items
- Enables hierarchical relationships among business processes, features, backlog items, and supporting material, giving end-to-end traceability
Model Orchestration
Larry does not rely on a single model for everything. It coordinates multiple specialized models across different tasks to get better results than any one model could deliver alone:
- Combines fine-tuned foundation models with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for context-aware, grounded responses
- Coordinates multiple specialized LLMs for data generation, validation, summarization, and quality assurance
- Allows tenant-specific model selection so each deployment can choose local or cloud-based models to match compliance and performance requirements
Quality Assurance and Guardrails
AI output quality is not assumed. It is measured, monitored, and controlled.
- Automated evaluation compares new model outputs against prior baselines to detect quality drift
- Regression testing for tuned models ensures consistent quality across updates
- Configurable topic and behavior guardrails are integrated directly into the response pipeline to constrain what Larry can and cannot do
User Interaction Interfaces
Larry meets users where they work through purpose-built interaction modes, each designed for a specific workflow:
- Teach Me Mode: Subject matter experts share knowledge in their own words without needing prompt engineering skills
- Interview Mode: Larry asks structured follow-up questions to uncover undocumented knowledge and expose gaps
- Task Guidance: Step-by-step process guidance so end users complete complex tasks correctly and consistently
- Support Mode: Enriches support tickets and workflows with grounded, context-aware responses from the knowledge base
- Developer Mode: Integrates with ALM systems and code repositories for backlog management, code comprehension, and documentation
Deployment and Operations
Larry is built for production use, not just demonstrations:
- Kubernetes-based containerized orchestration for deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management
- Supports both on-premises and cloud-hosted operation
- Multi-tenant isolation and lifecycle management of intelligent agents
- Tenant-specific model and infrastructure configuration
